Yoga is no different than a marriage. It is cultivating a 'Relationship' with your mind, body, breath, and Spirit. But there must be first a relationship. Not a relationship where you come home close the door, eat dinner, sit on the couch, eat potato chips, and go to sleep. Not that kind of relationship. There must be a relationship in which you spend quality time. Not just a one way communication but two way communication which is not aggressive but compassionate and understanding. That is the kind of relationship we need to have between our mind, body and breath for it to be a holistic union.
Therefore for my first video I choose to share this Shavasana practice a.k.a. deep relaxation. This is a way to spend quality time with ourselves, with our breath, our body, our mind and our Spirit. Through spending quality time with our 'partner', we begin to see aspects of ourselves in this loving, compassionate and understanding relationship in this practice of union.
